notes: *Species of concern (AOBIS 2001); Critically Imperiled (NatureServe 2008, TCDC 2003) -found on sand, mud and gravel (Howells et al. 1996); slow to moderate current (Quinn et al. 1996) -some of the records for L. luteola and L. streckeri may actually be this species -Endemic To Texas (TCDC 2003); endemic to the Guadalupe and Colorado drainages but once reported by Strecker (1931) from Salado Creek as L. streckeri (Howells 1998b) -flooding in the past two decades appear to have eliminated this species from most of its previous range (Howells, Mather & Bergman 1997) |
